Welcome to WaveLog. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WaveLog app, website and related services. By using WaveLog, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of WaveLog

You agree to use WaveLog lawfully, responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use WaveLog to harass, abuse, impersonate, threaten, mislead or harm others.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that occurs through your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your details up to date.

We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms, create risk for other users, misuse the service, or appear fraudulent.

3. User content

You retain ownership of content you upload or create on WaveLog, including photos, posts, comments, check-ins, routes, messages and adverts.

By uploading or creating content, you grant WaveLog a licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content as needed to operate and improve the service.

You must only upload content that you have the right to share. You are responsible for your own content and for ensuring it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

WaveLog may include check-ins, locations, marina information and GPX routes. This information is provided for social and community use only and should not be relied on for navigation, safety, weather, emergency planning or seamanship decisions.

Always use official navigation tools, charts, weather forecasts and your own judgement when boating.

6. Marketplace and adverts

WaveLog may include marketplace or chandlery-style features. Users are responsible for their own listings, descriptions, prices and dealings with other users.

WaveLog is not responsible for transactions, disputes, payments, delivery, item condition or agreements made between users unless explicitly stated otherwise.

7. Moderation

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or take other action where we believe content or behaviour breaches these Terms or risks harming the WaveLog community.

Users may report content or accounts for review. We are not obliged to monitor all content but may do so where appropriate.

8. Account deletion

You can delete your account directly in the WaveLog app via Settings. Account deletion may remove or anonymise your account and associated data, subject to technical, legal and safety requirements.

9. Beta and availability

WaveLog may be released, tested or improved in stages. Features may change, be added, removed or temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee that WaveLog will always be available or error-free.

10. Intellectual property

WaveLog, including its name, branding, design, software and platform features, belongs to Wave Log Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, misuse or reproduce WaveLog branding or software without permission.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. By using WaveLog, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of liability

WaveLog is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, boating decisions, navigation issues, user disputes or reliance on user-generated content.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we may notify users through the app, website or email. Continued use of WaveLog after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
