1. Information we collect

When you use WaveLog, we may collect the following information:

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

3. Firebase and service providers

WaveLog uses trusted service providers to help run the platform. These may include Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database storage, file storage, hosting, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting and cloud functions.

These providers process data on our behalf to help us deliver and maintain the WaveLog service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Photos, messages and user content

Content you upload to WaveLog, such as photos, posts, comments, marketplace adverts, check-ins and messages, is stored so the app can provide its features.

Some content may be visible to other users depending on how you use the app and your privacy settings. Private profiles and approval-based features are designed to give you more control over who can see certain content.

5. Location and route information

WaveLog may allow you to create location-based check-ins or upload GPX route files. This information is only collected when you choose to provide it or use those features.

You should avoid sharing sensitive location information that you do not want other users to see.

6. Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can send notifications such as messages, follows, comments, likes and tag requests. You can control notification preferences in the app or disable notifications through your device settings.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or enforce our terms.

8. Account deletion

You can delete your account directly in the WaveLog app via Settings. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise account data and associated content where reasonably possible, subject to legal, safety and technical requirements.

Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs or records needed for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
